Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement Rejects Forced Statement at DB Office

The Anti-Discrimination Students' Movement has rejected the statement that was forcibly given at the DB office, where individuals were held at gunpoint and made to read from a script.

The statement forced under duress by holding the coordinators captive can never be acceptable to the nation. The detained coordinators merely read out the statement scripted by the intelligence agency under threats. We reject that statement and strongly condemn and protest the government's heinous act of coercing such a statement. We unequivocally declare that our movement will continue until the Prime Minister apologizes for the student killings and the Home Minister resigns, among other nine demands. We urge the nation not to be misled. The movement will persist until justice for the quota killings is served.Abdul Kader
